Though I’ve loved animals my entire life, I never really thought about the animals we eat until I was in high school. I was assigned a research project and decided to investigate where our food comes from, what I found was horrific and incredibly upsetting.

I was ashamed and angry to learn that my daily actions contributed to climate change and the torture of billions of animals every year. There is a major disconnect between the food on our plates and how it got there, and that’s how the industry likes it. That is why I started this blog, to inspire others to change their lives by teaching them what’s really going on. We, as consumers, need to arm ourselves with as much knowledge as possible so that we can make ethical choices. Every dollar we spend sends a message, a message that determines which products get put out on shelves and how they get there.

So I’m going to use this blog to share what I’ve learned on my journey to living a more ethical life. Whether that’s the beauty products I buy, the food I eat, or how I get outdoors and enjoy nature to remind myself what it is I’m trying to save.

I hope you’ll follow me and join the #vegolution.
